Shift Mechanical Craftsperson

Equans is looking for a Shift Mechanical Craftsperson to join our team based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 39.375 hours per week. This is based on a shift rota working 2 days on (7am-7pm) then 2 nights on (7pm-7am) then 4 days off. On offer is a competitive salary, shift allowance and benefits package. 

What will you deliver?

• Responsible for the delivery of mechanical engineering maintenance service in line with contractual obligations, industry best practice and relevant standards and guidance (HTM)

• ensure planned preventive maintenance, testing, breakdown/reactive maintenance activities on the estate are completed and records maintained

• Manage individually assigned work effectively to ensure site performance via use of CAFM systems and other digital based management tools is accurate when reviewed by management

• Achieve and maintain AP/CP appointments in disciplines as requested by estates management team to support the contract where required and appropriate

• Maintain AHU, FCU, Boilers, Calorifiers and plantroom equipment

Who are you?

• City & Guilds (or equivalent)  Mechanical qualifications

• Understanding of AHU, FCU, Boilers, Calorifiers and plantroom equipment

• Indentured apprenticeship or equivalent training

• Healthcare and or Healthcare PFI experience (Desirable)

• Driving licence

This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
