Equans is looking for a Business Analyst to join the team in London on an 18 month fixed term contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The role holder will be expected to deal with financial data from PO reports, GL reports, service nature, payroll reports, revenue reports and comparisons against budgets / targets / expected spend. This will involve pulling together different data sets to be presented in a summary format, with guidance from the FBP, against tight deadlines.
What will you deliver?
- Preparation of month-end management accounts for consolidated overheads, support services & production of management accounts
- Preparing schedules for the monthly reporting pack for reporting of company results to head office
- Budget and forecast preparation of overheads and production of associated schedules
- Take the lead on daily debt and WIP monitoring for cash control
- Liaise with business operating units and shared services as required
- Liaising with Senior management with respect to monthly results & control of company allocations. Organising and attending monthly gestion reviews with budget holders
- Monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and associated month end tasks
- Assisting in the development of system reports and continual monitoring and streamlining of the month-end process
- Provide support when required to the Deputy Financial Reporting Manager and Financial Reporting Manager
- Provide support on company tenders
- Ad-hoc duties as required by the Business Analysis team

Who are we looking for?
- Graduate or AAT part-qualified with a drive to study to achieve an accounting qualification
- Previous experience working within an office environment with a working knowledge of integrated systems in a large commercial organisation
- Good financial & commercial acumen
- Ability to see patterns and collate Excel data with accuracy and create presentable outputs
- Good communicator and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and customer service skills
- Ability to manage own workloads to meet set deadlines
- Strong planning & administration skills
