Equans is looking for a Lifecycle Fund Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
The Lifecycle Fund Management team provides strategic oversight of long-term asset investment, managing lifecycle funds, validating asset replacement requirements, forecasting future expenditure, and ensuring contractual obligations are delivered efficiently and sustainably.
The role holder will provide independent technical and commercial validation and verification of proposed lifecycle works ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and technical standards. Validate that correct maintenance protocols have been followed, assess lifecycle implications of capital variations, and manage condition survey programmes. Ensure all lifecycle interventions are technically sound, compliant with regulations, and aligned with bid model commitments.
This role can be based from any UK location with some additional travel
What will you deliver?
Lifecycle Works Validation
- Validate and verify all proposed lifecycle works meet technical and contractual requirements
- Verify that correct maintenance protocols have been followed before approving major works
- Conduct independent technical validation of recommendations from asset management teams
- Challenge and verify technical justifications provided by operational teams
- Ensuring long term asset replacement is controlled effectively by reducing obsolescence risk
Compliance & Standards
- Verify technical specifications align with original bid model assumptions and performance standards.
- Validate compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to relevant codes, standards, and best practices
Budget Management
- Authority to approve lifecycle interventions up to £250k per project
- Aid in management of spend within budget achieving forecast accuracy of ±5%
- Implement cost control measures ensuring interventions remain within approved budgets
Handover Management
- Review and accept project handover information including O&M manuals and asset lists
- Validate completeness and accuracy of as-built documentation and asset registers
- Verify project deliverables meet lifecycle requirements and contractual obligations
Strategic Contribution
- Contribute to overarching drivers of Asset Management, Sustainability and Compliance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Share technical knowledge and best practices across the team

Who are we looking for?
- Proven experience in lifecycle validation and independent technical assessment
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements
- Understanding of building services systems and asset management
- Experience in technical validation, audit, or quality assurance roles
- Strong technical assessment and analytical skills
- Ability to challenge and verify technical recommendations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
