EQUANS is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

Management of account portfolio of around £25m, with a growing portfolio.  Financial accounting process control, interpretation and judgement drives overall performance within the contracts, with decisions made as a result of this.

Detailed analysis and financial accounting interpretation is required to fully analyse and understand the profitability drivers for the contracts within their control.  This will involve detailed budgets analysis covering GL and service line understanding and change modelling, benefits tracking and influencing business to drive efficiency improvements and generate ideas.

What will you deliver?

 

  • The “face of Finance” at the local level – communicating to / from Operations to Finance
  • Monthly management accounts in line with current accounting standards
  • Partner with the Contract team by providing financial information and interpretation, undertaking proactive analytical and other investigations, contributing to developing a better understanding of the business and improving operational performance
  • Provide expert accounting, reporting and all necessary financial expertise for the sector / contract
  • Balance sheet and Cash flow forecasting
  • Work with contract management to ensure that plans, budgets and forecasts for the contract are both challenging and achievable
  • Partner with the contracts to shape and manage performance KPI’s
  • Source and inform the central team of the specific requirements and specifications of the sector / contract
  • Manage the delivery of all financial processes to their Division
  • Provide proactive input into contract negotiations and contract decision making initiatives
  • Intervene where required to support compliance and alignment objectives
  • Drive for value at the bottom line, with a focus on revenue enhancement / protection and on cost saving opportunities
  • Ad-hoc projects; which may include Contract recovery investigations, implementation and benefits realization

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified)
  • Strong IT skills with excellent working knowledge of ERP system, ideally SAP, as well as other systems in use within the business, e.g. Maximo, Planon, Coupa etc
  • post qualification experience in a Finance Business Partner role or similar
  • Good financial & commercial acumen
  • Ability to analyse complex data with high levels of accuracy
  • Good communicator and very strong inter-personal skills
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and customer service skills
  • Excellent planning & administration skills
  • Ability to manage own and others workloads to meet set deadlines
  • Being open to innovation and new ways of working
  • Innovative thinking and can do attitude
