Equans is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £24,000 – £26,000 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- To undertake improvement work, maintenance and repairs of plant, services and physical assets including testing and routine fault finding
- The responsibilities will be at the Acute PFI Hospital

Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings and specifications appropriate to own trade, without supervision

After appropriate training, work off tower scaffolding, MEWP’s, ladders, and step ladders and within confined spaces

To carry out unsupervised maintenance and repairs and report any defects or unusual circumstances to the Supervisor/AEM

Requirement to learn new techniques with training as necessary

Produce, if necessary, list of materials to carry out remedial repairs or alterations to current task

Ensure all PPM and Reactive work is carried out effectively in compliance with maintenance instructions and response and repair times

PPM Checks to include, tank visual inspections, taking water samples, calorifier visual inspections, temperature checks, shower head cleaning, TMV servicing, tank inspection and cleaning, chemical dosing, and testing of closed systems, descaling of outlets, clean and disinfection of process systems

Who are we looking for?

Knowledge of HSG 274 and ideally HTM (04)

This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
