Context and Mission Objectives
Group IT department is organized around Shared Line of Services (SLS) to deliver global services to all group entities.
SLS infrastructure delivers Cloud Service Provider based services (AWS and Azure) and centrally managed Network services (Backbone, Site to site VPN, internet access filtering, VPN access for end users, IPAM, SDWAN solution…)
Within the SLS Infrastructure, the Devops Lead will define the organization and manage a Devops team to handle the requirements for SLS infrastructure automation subjects based on Equans Cloud Providers and Network Infrastructures.
He/She will be in charge to select the right people to be member of the team for defining the CICD Chain technical solution, identifying the Devops tools to be used for development, develop automation Workflows applying an agile methodology to deliver infrastructure as code as a service based on existing solutions already in place in equans organization. He/She will be also in charge to bring the Devops Vision to achieve automation objectives for SLS infrastructures.
Those objectives will be monitored through KPIs demonstrating the relevancy of the workflows and the capacity to deliver and maintain.
He/She will be in charge to interact with the necessary people internally or from other SLSes to deliver infrastructure automation as a service.
Responsibilities
Devops Lead is responsible to:
- Defining automation Roadmap
- Managing the core Devops Team
- Producing KPI based on services delivered
- Maintaining the CICD chain core solution
- Maintaining proper automation Workflows lifecycle
- Managing IAC oriented projects.
- Ensuring proper transition of run activities to Side Partner operational teams.
- Attending SLS infrastructure Streering Comitees.
His/Her duty will be to arrange proper communication with Cloud and Network Experts and Architect ensuring the workflows developed answers cyber requirements.
He/She will ensure proper contribution of the devops team in the projects reaching out to the project managers.
Main activities
- Manage Devops Team
- Manage CICD chain consistency
- Develop Infrastructure as code Workflows to deliver SLS infrastructure Services.
- Ensure skills of the team covers the range of technologies addressed through automation
- Secure the CICD chain core components
- Respect Cyber baseline during the workflow implementation.
- Coordinate the team activity with external stakeholders
- Implement an agile methodology to deliver services.
- Maintain lifecycle of the CICD Chain components and its workflows.
- Ensure transition to operations of the Workflows.
- Assume level 3 support on the CICD chain and its workflows through AIO.
- Manage Budget for the SLS infrastructure Devops Team
- Communicate to the SLS infrastructure management and CICD chain customer.
- Arrange webinars on Major Feature and Changes concerning CICD chain and automated services delivered.
- Ensure workflows and CICD Chain are properly documented.
- Create KPI Dashboards for services delivered through CICD chain.
- Present Feature creation, updates or improvement to the Design Authority and Architecture Review Board.
- Contribute to Security Audits and Remediation on the CICD chain.
- Manage Side partner Contract related to Devops team.

Technical and functional skills
- Mastery in setting up CICD organization and core infrastructure services (Github, Terraform Cloud, Azure Devops, Cloud Formation)
- Mastery of public cloud infrastructures (AWS and Azure): IaaS, PaaS, CaaS, FaaS – Architect type certifications desired
- Knowledge of network infrastructures (SDWAN/WAN, network services of public cloud operators, DNS, LAN, WLAN, Pare Feus)
- Good knowledge of other IT infrastructure domains: desktop, identity management (AD, Entra ID, SSO, MFA), messaging and collaboration (O365) and cyber security
- Good knowledge of ITIL and Demand Management > Projects > Release/Change Management > Operations processes
- Strong organizational and coordination skills for multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams (Equans is a company with operations in Europe, the Americas and Asia and the outsourcer is located in India)
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of the V-cycle and agile (or iterative V-cycle) project implementation approaches
- Ability to work in collaboration with an outsourcer who will be involved in the scoping phase and will carry out part of the project work
- Good written and spoken English (most of the work is done in English, meetings are in English, the IT manager speaks English)
- Good writing skills (in English) for project scoping, reporting and summary documents (for example to produce decision support documents or presentations to an Architecture Committee which may be necessary during the scoping phases)
- Ability to take ownership of the Equans IT costing and pricing model

Experience and education
- 5 years of higher education (computer engineering degree or equivalent)
- At least 5 years of experience in an equivalent position in a company of similar size
At least 3 years experience in managing relationships with external service providers (outsourcer)
