Equans is looking for a Project Change Manager to join our team on an 18 month fixed term contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Project Change Manager is a member of the central UK Transformation and Change team, part of the CFO Community.
Reporting to the Business Improvement and Change Manager, the Project Change Manager’s responsibilities are focused on the development and delivery of change interventions and communication activities across a variety of projects and programmes delivered by the central Transformation and Change team. This includes divisional, MBU and Group led projects such as, strategic business changes, process/systems transformation and organisational change, working on a multi project basis.
Activities will be varied but will include mapping and communicating with key stakeholders, and identifying the impact changes have on people within the business and supporting the development of robust change interventions and communication plans to ensure changes are understood and effectively adopted and business outcomes achieved.
The post holder will work closely with colleagues in the Transformation and Change team, Programme Partners and also liaise with the central internal communications team, providing input into wider internal communication activities and initiatives across the UK Business Unit to increase understanding of the UK strategy and ensure coordinated and consistent messaging across the business
A broad mix of skills and experience are required to enable the role holder to support the wide range of activities the team is involved in.
The Project Change Manager will play a key part in supporting the delivery of the Equans UK Transformation Strategy, increasing understanding, and strengthening engagement with stakeholders, Transformation and Change team members and employees in an effective and timely manner.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the delivery of business change and leading on associated communications activity, on plan and in a timely manner, ultimately ensuring stakeholders and end users engage with the project’s purpose, adopt and sustain any new ways of working, and realise the financial and non-financial benefits of the change.
What will you deliver?
- Supporting the implementation of change using established change management methodologies and techniques (change impact assessments, user journeys etc)
- Developing and delivering training solutions to support change programmes, working with third parties as required
- Supporting the development and maintenance of stakeholder maps
- Developing, implementing and continually updating the communications plans for the Transformation Programme and associated strategic projects, acting as the communications business partner to improve adoption, efficiency and awareness throughout the organisation
- Leading on the creation and implementation of accessible internal communications materials and campaigns to support the programme, such as business updates, email communications, and briefing packs, making these relevant for a broad audience
- Helping to develop and manage internal communications tools on behalf of the Transformation Programme (including SharePoint sites, webcast tools, Viva Engage, internal videos)
- Ensuring the timely, coordinated and consistent delivery of information to employees through the relevant internal channels
- Ensuring the Transformation programme communications are aligned with other internal communication activities
- Facilitating knowledge and information transfer across the business through regular dialogue and news flow, as well as specialist events and targeted initiatives
- Project managing the business change activities to ensure programme/project success, providing accurate status reporting and managing updates against the plans which can be used in governance forums and with various stakeholder groups

Who are we looking for?
- Experience in change methodologies and completion of change impact assessments
- Experience in an internal communications role, preferably including business partnering experience, and experience within change communications
- Experience in the development and delivery of change briefings and training sessions
- In depth knowledge of one or more of the Equans market sectors
- Some knowledge and understanding of core business processes and systems
- Some practical business change experience (including communication strategy and planning)
- In-depth knowledge of the key elements associated with effective internal communications
- Strong communicator and confident to interface effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and persuasive skills and experience in explaining complex information quickly and concisely
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, remotely as required, and a strong team player
- Willingness to take ownership of issues through to resolution
- High energy, tenacious, pragmatic and can-do approach
- Excellent communicator with creative skills and the ability to develop and present impactful messages using a range of channels – a driver of change
- A high-level of IT knowledge with experience in management of internal communications tools, including digital tools such as SharePoint and Office 365 functionality, app-based content management systems and video animation software
- Ability to work under pressure, to prioritise work, and to adhere to tight deadlines while maintaining quality
This role includes a DBS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential.
