Equans currently has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Receptionist to join our Facilities Management team at a prestigious central government building in Westminster. This is a permanent role working 40 hours per week, 8 hour shifts between 07:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday rotating weekly with a one hour unpaid lunch break.
What will you deliver?
- Reporting to the Front of House Supervisor
- Provides an effective, proactive and professional service to staff and visitors of the building
- Handles customer enquiries made both over the phone and in person
- Prepares and issues visitors passes and maintains records observing strict security procedures
- Working 40 hours per week, 8 hour shifts between 07:00 and 18:30, Monday to Friday rotating weekly.
Who are we looking for?
- Experience in a similar reception role ideally in a government department or blue chip organisation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills and excellent telephone manner
- Smart appearance at all times, with a welcoming manner
- Self-motivated and highly organised with an excellent eye for detail
- Good knowledge of MS Office, ideally with previous experience of Visitor Management Systems; experience of using Condeco and Maximo desirable
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative and able to remain calm under pressure
- Please note – Employment in this post is dependent upon obtaining security clearance; this requires 5 years’ residency in the UK and a valid British or EU passport.
